The Nepali Army has envisioned developing the BPOTC as a "Center of Excellence" for planning, designing and conducting different types of peacekeeping training. The plan of action for developing the BPOTC has identified four pillars, i.e.

(a) Organizational Development

(b) Doctrinal and Instructional Development

(c) National and International Coordination

(d) Infrastructure Development
