The Non-residential Defense Attache of Switzerland for Nepal Colonel Francois Philippe Garraux visited Birendra Peace Operation Training Centre (BPOTC) on 25th November 2021. Colonel Garraux was welcomed by the Commandant Colonel Dil Bikram Subba and briefed on various training activities conducted at BPOTC. During his short visit, he interacted with the unit commanders of different missions and highly commended the BPOTC for delivering high standard of pre-deployment training to the contingents as per the UN policies and guidelines. He also appreciated the Nepali Army for being one of the highest troops contributing country in UN peacekeeping operations and discussed upon the uniformed Gender parity strategy and its challenges to meet the required level of women participation in UN peacekeeping Operations. He also extended the mutual cooperation and support to promote international peace and security.
