On 11th Sep 2018, the Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Hemanta Kunwar visited Birendra Peace Operations Training Center on the occasion of closing ceremony of Pre-deployment training of Naya ShreeNath Battalion (UNMISS) soon to be deployed in South Sudan.

During the visit the Chief of Staff inspected the Pre-deployment training of the battalion and addressed the troops highlighting the peacekeeping effort of Nepali Army in maintaining international peace and security under the UN flag.

The General also observed a demonstration on anti ambush drill and IED clearance by NEPBATT-V (UNMISS).
