The Pre Deployment Training (PDT) of Kalijung Bn 1st, The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Central African Republic (MINUSCA, CAR) officially concluded on 25th February 2022 at Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre (BPOTC). Brigadier General Shantosh Ballave Poudyal the Director of DPO, Nepali Army graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Addressing the PDT Unit and all ranks, the Director Brigadier General Shantosh Ballave Poudyal congratulated the entire trainee for the successful completion of the course and he emphasized on the contribution of Nepali Army Peacekeepers in different UN missions in maintaining international peace and security. He also focused on maintaining discipline, proper use of knowledge and skills acquired during the Pre Deployment Training for effectively carrying out the mandated tasks in the mission area. He also expressed his confidence that the training would enable all the ranks of PDT Units to accomplish the given tasks. During the visit he has also addressed the BPOTC family and highlighted the role of the faculties and training centre to produce the efficient and capable peacekeepers. He has also inspected operational, training and logistic aspect of the training centre.
