On 2nd Nov 2018, the Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Hemanta Kunwar visited Birendra Peace Operations Training Center on the occasion of closing ceremony of Pre-deployment training of Rana Shardul Battalion (UNIFIL) soon to be deployed in Lebanon.

During the visit the Chief of Staff inspected the Pre-deployment training of the battalion and addressed the troops highlighting the peacekeeping effort of Nepali Army in maintaining international peace and security under the UN flag.

The General also observed a demonstration conducted by Rana Shardul Battalion.
