On 10 June 2022, the acting commandant of Birendra Peace Operation Training Centre (BPOTC) formally addressed the closing ceremony of “French language Course” conducted from 17th April - 10th June 2022. The course had 100 hours session and 30 participants from units going to be deployed in MINUSCA and MINUSMA missions.

The aim of this course was to bridge the communication gap among the peacekeepers and other mission components in the mission area. The Deputy Director of Alliance Françoise also expressed his gratitude for providing the learning environment in the training centre. Alliance Françoise has provided French language Instructor. This French Language course has been conducting form last five years for the peacekeeper who are going to be deployed in Francophone countries.

During the closing ceremony, the Acting Commandant Lt. Col Dev Bahadur Chhetri highlighted the importance of the French course in building communication skills of Peacekeepers in Francophone countries like Central African Republic and Mali. Also, he added the importance of language during communication with other mission partners and local population in mission environment.
