Engagement Team Training of Trainer's Course Concludes

The Engagement Team Training Of Trainer's Course has been concluded here at Birendra Peace Operations Training Center (BPOTC) on 10 June 2022. The course was planned and conducted in coordination with the Global Peace Operations Initiative. There were four Subject Matter Expertise's from GPOI, leaded by Mr. Gonzalo Mila. The objective of this course was to build training capacity of Troops Contribution Countries (TCCs). Also, participants will be prepared for training of future Engagement Team leaders and members infused within Infantry Battalion of TCCs to UN Peace Keeping Missions.

During the closing remarks, the Acting Commandant Of BPOTC Lt. Col. Dev Bahadur Chhetri highlighted the importance of Engagement Team in UN Peace Keeping Environment. Similarly, he also emphasized the importance of deploying Female Team Members in Engagement Platoon in Infantry Battalion Contingent and their role in effective engagement in communities with the aim peace building and conflict prevention in UN - Peace Keeping Missions.

A total of twenty officers from Nepal Army and five International Officers and NCOs from Mongolia and Sri Lanka successfully completed this course.
