Pre Deployment Training (PDT) of Military Police Unit (8th) to be deployed in United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSCA) in Centre Republic Africa concluded on 22 June 2022 at the Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre (BPOTC). The course started on 18th March 2022.
Colonel Dil Bikram Subba, the Commandant of BPOTC addressed the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. During his address, the Commandant congratulated the unit for the successful completion of the course and emphasized on the contribution of Nepali Army Peacekeepers in different UN missions in maintaining international peace and security. He also focused on importance of maintaining discipline, proper use of knowledge and skills acquired during the Pre Deployment Training for effectively carrying out the mandated tasks in the mission area. He also expressed his confidence that the training would enable all ranks to accomplish the mission mandate.
PDT is compulsory for all uniformed personnel prior to deployment to UN mission.
