OPENING CEREMONY OF SN 03 UNITED NATION BUDDY FIRST AID COURSE

The SN 03 UN Buddy first Aid Course (UNBFAC) commenced at the Birendra Peace Operations Training Center (BPOTC) on 01 August 2022. This five days course (01 August to 05 August 2022) consists of total 25 trainees; including three female participants, two participants each from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal. The training team is led by Super trainer WO2 Rajkumar Basnet along with five Master Trainers from the Nepali Army.

During the opening address, the Commandant of BPOTC Col Dil Bikram Subba emphasized on the UNBFAC as a mandatory training for all non-medical UN peacekeepers with a view to save lives in the mission area . The UNBFAC is intended to prepare “Master Trainers” who can train peacekeepers prior to the deployment in the UN peacekeeping operations. This training is expected to be instrumental in enhancing on site medical service capability and availability of Nepali military and police contingents in the peacekeeping missions.
