CLOSING CEREMONY OF S.NO 3 UNBFAC COURSE

On 05th Aug 2022, The Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre (BPOTC) Commandant Col Dil Bikram Subba formally address the closing ceremony of United Nations Buddy First Aid Course (UNBFAC) which was commenced from 01 Aug - 05 Aug 2022, conducted in coordination with Triangular Partnership Program (TPP) between the Light Coordination Mechanism (LCM) at the UNHQ, the UN Medical Services and the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the UN. Total 25 participants completed the course including 19 participants from Nepali Army (NA) and 2 participants each from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force Nepal. The training team was led by two Super trainers WO2 Rajkumar Basnet from Nepali Army along with Seven Master Trainers from Nepali Army.

During the closing address, the Commandant of BPOTC Col Dil Bikram Subba emphasized on the UNBFAC as a mandatory training for all non-medical UN peacekeepers with a view to save lives in the mission area. He also highlighted the knowledge and skill acquired in the course to be equally important in daily jobs, training and in other operational engagements. This course was able to generate 7 certified Trainers as national instructors and 10 certified Master Trainers as international instructors for United Nations Buddy First Aid Course.
