On 22 July 2019, Lt Col Bhumi Bhakta Baral Deputy Commandant Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre, inaugurated the United Nations Protection of Civilians Training of Trainers(POC TOT) Course organized jointly by Nepali Army and US Indo Pacific Command (US INDOPACOM). 19 National students along with three international students (Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia) and two officers each from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are attending the course. Likewise, two Instructors from Nepali Army and two Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) are dedicated to run the course. The course will be conducted till 26 July 2019.
