On 5th  Sept 2019, Chief of General Staff (CGS) Lieutenant General Sarad Kumar Giri inspected Tara Dal Bn Command Post Exercise (CPX) and Field Training Exercise (FTX) conducted under Mission Specific Training (MST) phase. The exercise was designed to give the functional staffs and the troops the fleeing of mission environment and also to familiarize the specific and implied tasks that the Battalion has to undertake in UNMISS as Force Reserve Battalion (FRB).

During the inspection CGS was briefed on the exercise setting and the current situation update by the Ex controller and the Chief Operation Officer of Tara Dal Bn respectively. Moreover, he also observed the physical (BFT), Tactical (Live fire and move, Obstacle, Classification Firing, Vehicle Patrol and Public Order Management) and written assessment of the deploying troops. Director General Staff Duties, Planning and Policy Maj General Rajendra Karki and Director Peacekeeping Operations Brig Gen Hira Lal Joshi were also present during the inspection.
