On 06th Dec 2019, Assistant Secretary of Defense, Indo Pacific Security Affairs, Honorable Mr Randall G. Schriver handed over the newly constructed Lumbini House amid a ceremony. During the ceremony, he commended the tremendous efforts put in by Nepali Army to maintain international peace and security.
H.E Dr Arjun Kumar Karki, Nepal Ambassador to United States, Mr. Manny Micaller, Deputy Chief of Mission, US Mission Nepal, Brig Gen Hira Lal Joshi Director, Department of Peacekeeping Operations were among the guest present at the ceremony. The delegation team was briefed on the training architecture and US assistance to enhance the training capability of BPOTC by commandant. On behalf of Nepali Army, Brig Gen Hira Lal Joshi Director, Department of Peacekeeping Operations expressed his sincere gratitude to the US Government and US Embassy in Nepal for the relentless and valuable support to enhance the training capability, infrastructure and instructional development of BPOTC which has ultimately helped to prepare the competent peacekeepers that can operate in any complex mission environment.
Lumbini house encompasses of 39 rooms with the dining facility for 100 people.
